It was composed by Lamont Dozier (of Motown's Holland-Dozier-Holland), and lyrics by Collins, both of whom also produced this song for the 1988 crime comedy film Buster. Both promo-singles of the film, "Two Hearts" and "A Groovy Kind Of Love", topped the U.S charts.It won the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song alongside the Carly Simon song "Let the River Run" from Working Girl (with the latter having beaten the former for the Academy Award for Best Original Song) and the Grammy Award for Best Song Written Specifically for a Motion Picture or Television in 1989. Two music videos were made, both directed by Jim Yukich: the first one similar to Collins' 1982 video "You Can't Hurry Love" featuring Collins as all four members in a band, and the other featuring him in a wrestling match against the Ultimate Warrior, which was featured on the Jim Yukich-directed Seriously..
