It also has five subway stops (four in service; one under construction) serving the 7 <7> trains at 11th Avenue starting from November 2014, the A C E trains at Eighth Avenue, the 1 2 3 trains at Seventh Avenue, the B D F M N Q R trains and PATH trains at Herald Square, and the 4 6 <6> trains at Park Avenue. In April 2010, the New York City Department of Transportation proposed to add bus rapid transit along the 34th Street corridor. To create exclusive lanes for buses, the street would be converted to one-way westbound operation west of Sixth Avenue and one-way eastbound operation east of Fifth Avenue; a pedestrian plaza would be created between Fifth and Sixth avenues.
