He scored 9 runs in Hampshire's first-innings, before being dismissed by Darren Stevens. He made his debut in List A cricket in that same season against a touring Bangladesh A team. In a match which Hampshire won by 9 runs, Rouse scored 7 runs before he was dismissed leg before by Sohag Gazi.
