He went on to make 274 appearances for the club scoring 104 goals and winning many trophies.In 1922 Carricaberry made his debut for the Argentina national football team.In 1923 Carricaberry scored the winning goal in the Copa del Río de la Plata, San Lorenzo also won the AAmF championship an achievement they repeated in 1924. 1927 was a particularly successful year for Carricaberry, san Lorenzo won the AFA championship for the first time, and they won the Copa del Río de la Plata. He played for Argentina in the Copa América 1927 scoring three goals helping them to win the title.He was a member of the Argentine team that competed in the 1928 Summer Olympics where he received a silver madal after a loss in the final to Uruguay.After the professionalisation of the game in 1931 Carricaberry joined Club Atlético Huracán. His last international appearance also came in 1931 and he finished his playing career with Argentinos Juniors in 1937.. }
