He was a Justice of the Peace and supervisor, and served as judge of the Court of Common Pleas.Hascall was elected as a Whig to the Thirty-second Congress (March 4, 1851 – March 3, 1853). He resumed the practice of law. He served as trustee of the village of Le Roy in 1858. He died in Le Roy, New York, June 27, 1872. He was interred in Myrtle Street Cemetery.. }
