The station went through different ownerships over the years and is currently owned by Corus Entertainment. By 2000, the station was acquired by Corus Entertainment, and flipped from adult top 40 to adult contemporary, the same format that used to be on CHAY-FM; only to return to adult top 40 by 2003 when its CHAY-FM sister station reacquired the adult contemporary format. Even though the nearby Barrie signals of the stronger former adult contemporary station CHAY-FM (FM93) & contemporary hit radio station CIQB-FM (B101) are targeted into Collingwood, CKCB-FM remained a hot AC up until 2011 since the move to top 40 from hot adult contemporary at sister station CIQB-FM in 2008. By 2011, the station reverted to adult contemporary, taking the format from sister station CHAY-FM, which switched to adult hits. As such, the signals of CISO-FM & CKDX-FM cannot be heard into Collingwood, so CKMB-FM & Toronto's CHUM-FM (according to the station's coverage map) are the only hot adult contemporary radio station in the Barrie/Collingwood area.Longtime broadcaster and current morning man John Nichols has worked at CKCB since 1971. For his 30th anniversary in 2001 he hosted the "Marathon of John", which he broadcast live from 6 am to 6 pm. John has received countless awards for his years of service to the Southern Georgian Bay area and he's active with many community organizations.. }
