She then went on to graduate from the University of Michigan in 2005, where she was the goalkeeper for the women's water polo team. She was named the best female water polo player for 2010 by FINA Aquatics World Magazine.Starting in 2012, Betsey was hired as the assistant coach of the University of Michigan Women's Water Polo Team.
