The present Grade II listed church was built in 1800, of brick and stone, and restored in 1881 and 1953. The small polygonal apsed chancel with lancets was added in 1912. The altar slab is ancient,and there is a large stone font with a wooden lid.The East Coast mainline railway used to run through the village, and the disused trackbed is now part of a nature reserve.. }
