When he arrived in the U.S., he joined the New Bedford Whalers of the Southern New England Soccer League, winning the 1915 and 1917 league championships. In 1917, he moved to Fore River. The team went to the 1918 National Challenge Cup, losing to Bethlehem Steel F.C.. In 1919, he moved to Brooklyn Robins Dry Dock of the National Association Football League. Robins won the 1920 and 1921 American Cup titles.
