It is the first installment of the Gujian Qitan series. It was originally released in China mainland on July 10, 2010 for Microsoft Windows.It is known for being the first Chinese video game with fully voiced main characters. Since August 10, 2011, Shanghai Aurogon had released 7 pieces of downloadable content on its e-market. Many traditional Chinese culture elements were added, such as the myths, food, clothing, constructions, Taoism and so on. For example, names of the main characters are all derived from names of ancient Chinese alcoholic beverages. The design of monsters in the game was inspired by Chinese mythology, while cities and mazes were based on photos and history records. There are many examples of Chinese cuisine in the game.As a RPG, it borrows many gameplay elements from other genres, such as the quick time event, home system, cooking system and so on. This game was developed using the Gamebryo Engine. The cut scenes of the game have been called visually exciting and beautiful. However, the final result of the mathematical optimization hadn't meet players' expectations since some complained about lag in gameplay.. }
