This has led to a series of protests by some of his followers, who deemed the Inspector's move as controversial, politically biased and un-democratic.Despite being granted an Injunction by the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights which suspended the sanction of Inspector General Ordoñez, President Juan Manuel Santos uphold the removal and Petro was effectively sacked in March 19th 2014.
