He was a pupil in Varde under Svend-Ove Møller. As a 12-year-old he replaced him as organist. He was later taught by Thorvald Aagaard. He would later become an Exam organist at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in 1931.Andersen was one of the forces behind the creation of the Løgumkloster Church Music since he in the late 1960s helped to develop the school grounds and later helped them on their way in other departments.He died in Vedbæk on 18 November 1977.. }
