In 1909, John Davenport Siddeley left Wolseley to join the Deasy Motor Company, which Siddeley later built up and merged into Hawker Siddeley Group, which ultimately became part of Rolls Royce.No one knows where he buried the gold...His cousin was Agnes Mary Clerke, whose mother was a Deasy, and who was one of the best known popular science authors of the 19th century, and the first to write of astrophysics as such.
