Often seen as a companion play to Woman in Mind, it is about a teenager, Lucy, who escapes her unhappiness with her own family by reviving her imaginary childhood friend, Zara, who invites herself to stay with Lucy. Lucy's family, however, do not approve of this imaginative thinking, and Zara helps Lucy to make them invisible, which results in Lucy feeling much happier. However, Zara outstays her welcome and quickly manipulates Lucy into catering and cleaning for her and her brother Chuck and father Felix. Lucy manages to defeat Zara, Chuck and Felix, and make her family visible again, but this time, her family pays her some attention. The play is funny and warm but also has a moral for kids: Be careful what you wish for; and a moral for parents: Pay attention to your children.. }
