As the swimmers come toward the final leg, Shizuoka catches up to the Tamatsuka team, but Orizuka is late to leave. To make matters worse, she suffers a leg cramp. Finally, the Umishou team gets it together singing the Ono Island Dance Song. This is enough to throw off the Tamatsuka singers and Orizuka has a chance to catch up. It is a pyrrhic victory, however, as Orizuka's cramp turned into a pulled muscle which not only knocks her out of the medley competition but has a chance of endangering her swimming career.... }
