Anglin was born on a farm near Columbia, Tennessee. He worked at a local hosiery mill and became acquainted with his future wife, Louise; and through her, her brother, Johnnie Wright. At the time Wright, his wife Murial (Kitty Wells) and Louise were regulars on WSIX-AM as Johnnie Wright And The Harmony Girls. Anglin married Louise Wells in 1933 when he was 17 & she was 16.They had an end to the 30 year marriage on March 8, 1963. He was the father of 4 children: Jackie Anglin (1934-03-04)March 4, 1934 in Columbia, Tennessee March 8, 1963(1963-03-08) (aged 29) in Madison, Tennessee. Sandy Anglin (1936-03-12) March 12, 1936 in Nashville, Tennessee John Anglin (1937-12-03)December 3, 1937 in Nashville, Tennessee March 8, 1963(1963-03-08) (aged 25) in Nashville, Tennessee Janet Anglin (1942-02-03) February 3, 1942 in Manhattan, New York.The two men became friends; and when the Anglin Brothers disbanded in 1939, Anglin joined Wright as Johnnie Wright And The Happy Roving Cowboys with Jack Anglin. In 1940, they became Johnnie & Jack, who enjoyed success as a vocal duo until Anglin's death in 1963. The duo became members of the Grand Ole Opry in the 1940s. Driving alone to attend a memorial service for Patsy Cline not far from his home, he rounded a bend in Madison, Tennessee at a high speed and died in the ensuing crash.. }
