Later, he opened three more restaurants: one for Elsie in Jamaica, one for Frank in Richmond Hill, and one for Howard in Bayside & Flushing. By the 1950s, there were Jahn's locations in Marine Park, Bay Ridge, Sheepshead Bay, the Fordham section of the Bronx, Jackson Heights, Forest Hills, Eastchester, East Meadow, West Islip, Great Neck, Williston Park, Rockville Centre, Cedarhurst, Union, New Jersey, Fair Lawn, New Jersey, Coral Gables, Florida, and Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. In November 2007, one of the last two remaining Jahn's, in Richmond Hill, closed. Only the Jahn's located at 81–04 37th Avenue in Jackson Heights, Queens is still operating. It can be reached most easily with the #7 train to the 82nd St. station, or the E, F, R, or M train to the Roosevelt Ave. station.In addition to its huge Kitchen Sink Sundae, other popular ice cream treats included the Boilermaker, the Awful Awful, the Suicide Frappe', Screwball's Delight, the Joe Sent Me and the (#”&’$?/) Special. The "Flaming Desire" came to the table with an alcohol soaked sugar cube on fire and five scoops of ice cream.The 2012 menu still boasts The Kitchen Sink that will feed eight and costs $51.95. The Banana Royal comes with 3 large scoops of ice cream, a whole banana, hot fudge, whipped cream and several maraschino cherries at a cost of $8.95. One of these is easily enough for two people.
