His 1994 article, “A Social Constructionist Position for Mental Health Counseling” published in the Journal of Mental Health Counseling (JMHC) started an ongoing debate on the topic of postmodernism in the JMHC through 2000 and at workshops held at the ACA's conferences in 1996 and 1999.
