For parts of four seasons, Pasley, a catcher, played in Major League Baseball (MLB) with the Los Angeles Dodgers (1974, 1976–77), and the Seattle Mariners (1977–78). Over his career in the majors, he compiled a .254 batting average with eight runs scored, 31 hits, seven doubles, one home run, and nine runs batted in (RBIs). Pasley hit his only career major league home run in what would prove to be his final at-bat in the majors on October 1, 1978.Pasley was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers out of Chaminade High School during the 1971 Major League Baseball Draft. He went on to make his professional debut that season in the Dodgers minor league organization with the Class-A Short Season Medford Dodgers. Pasley would spend the majority of his career in the minor leagues, playing with the Class-A Daytona Beach Dodgers (1972), Double-A Waterbury Dodgers (1973), the Triple-A Albuquerque Dukes (1974–77), the Triple-A San Jose Missions (1978), the Triple-A Portland Beavers (1979), the Triple-A Syracuse Chiefs (1980–81), the Double-A Knoxville Blue Jays (1981), the Triple-A Evansville Triplets (1982), and the Double-A Birmingham Barons (1982).. }
