She is noted for her time-based, large-scale paintings with references to abstractions from the film noir genre. Karadi was born in Budapest, Hungary. She received her BFA from Maryland Institute College of Art. In 1994 she was the youngest to win the Morris Louis Grant, for painting, which allowed her to travel to Paris. She had her first European solo show in Naples, Italy in 2006, which was reviewed in both Artforum and Flash Art magazines.
