He married a young Frenchwoman, and they built at Ninock a house which became one of the great ante-bellum mansions of the Red River country.The Loggy Bayou Wildlife Management Area consists of 4,211 acres (17.04 km2) in south Bossier Parish, regulated by the Minden office of the United States Army Corps of Engineers. The area consists of an alluvial flood plain with bottomland hardwoods. Hunting, fishing, birding, and hiking are permitted.
