It was home to the Syracuse Orange men's basketball team and indoor track team before they moved to Carrier Dome in 1980. Currently it hosts the women's volleyball team, as well as hosting the Indoor Track and Field meets for Section III high schools. It is named for Dr. George L. Manley, a University trustee and graduate of the College of Medicine, who was the benefactor of the building.
