The station was rebuilt in 2004, and is the second replacement station for Mansfield. It is also the south end of a former Old Colony Railroad line that runs north through Walpole and Medfield Junction into Framingham. A portion of this line is used for commuters heading to the Foxboro station at Gillette Stadium.Mansfield Station is accessible through some one-way streets surrounding North Main Street north of Chauncy Street (MA 106). Southbound traffic from North Main Street can enter the station by turning right onto Pratt Street and making a left on Mansfiled Avenue. Access from the station back onto Main Street in either direction is available from Crocker Street.Parking for Mansfield residents is available along Mansfield Avenue and on the north and south sides of Chauncy Street, on the west side of the tracks.
