Michael's Haven) is a cooperative small holder's agricultural village (moshav) in central Israel, built upon an eminence in the far south-east end of the Elah Valley. Located to the south of Beit Shemesh, it falls under the jurisdiction of Mateh Yehuda Regional Council. The moshav was originally an abandoned military outpost when settled by Kurdish immigrants. In 2006 it had a population of 428.The village was established in 1958 by Kurdish immigrants from Iran. The founders were later joined by immigrants from Morocco. The moshav was originally named Roglit (Hebrew: רוֹגְלִית), meaning "tiller [of the grapevine]", but later its named changed to Neve Michael, in memory of American philanthropist, Michael M.
