The album comprises the band's entire December 31, 1995 show at Madison Square Garden, named by Rolling Stone Magazine as one of the "Greatest Concerts of the '90s".The concert is widely considered by fans to be one of Phish's best-ever shows, and is referred to by the band itself as being one of their top five concerts.[citation needed] Following this 1995 show, Phish established a regular tradition of performing multi-night New Year's shows at Madison Square Garden.The concert setlist features exemplary versions of Phish's live staples, including "Mike's Song" and a cover of The Who song "Drowned."
