Subsequently, he held the positions of Senior Minister from 1990 to 2004 and Minister Mentor from 2004 to 2011. Mr Lee retired from the Cabinet in 2011, but remains the leading Member of Parliament for Tanjong Pagar GRC.Tanjong Pagar GRC has been held by the People's Action Party since 1991, with a walkover victory at every Nomination Day since its creation. Tanjong Pagar consists of five divisions, namely Buona Vista, Queenstown, Tanglin-Cairnhill, Tanjong Pagar-Tiong Bahru and Kreta Ayer-Kim Seng. The constituency consists of the areas of Tanjong Pagar, part of the Marina Bay area, Marina South, Queenstown, Tiong Bahru, Tanglin, Orchard Road, Bukit Merah, Buona Vista, most areas of Chinatown, Clarke Quay, Kim Seng, Outram Park.The GRC absorbed a section of Kreta Ayer-Tanglin Group Representation Constituency in 2001. Buona Vista is back with Tanjong Pagar GRC from 2011. It was in the GRC from 1997 to 2001, until it was under Holland-Bukit Panjang Group Representation Constituency in 2001 and Holland-Bukit Timah Group Representation Constituency since 2006. Telok Blangah was also part of the constituency from 1991 to 1997. A portion bounded by Eng Neo Avenue, Pan Island Expressway, Dunearn Road and Adam Road was part of Holland-Bukit Timah GRC until the area was transferred to Tanjong Pagar GRC in 2006 and subsequently, Moulmein-Kallang GRC in 2011. Moulmein division will be transferred to the new Moulmein-Kallang GRC in 2011, while Radin Mas will be crafted out as a single member constituency. The Kreta Ayer-Kim Seng division of the former Jalan Besar GRC will now come under Tanjong Pagar GRC.Previous Members of Parliament for the GRC, Lim Hng Kiang, Lim Swee Say,Khaw Boon Wan, Lui Tuck Yew cut their political teeth here and went on to become ministers in the Cabinet.. }
