It featured undergarments of males and females, painted and decorated, as well as sculptures and paintings of said undergarments. Its name is a word play derived from the term "pantywaist" that refers to a male with weak moral character and the fact that most of the exhibits are made from discarded (waste) undergarments. The show took place at the Balazo/Mission gallery in the mission district of San Francisco, which hosts several anti-art and anti-fashion shows a year. The show was created by Ricky Lee, who said it was a lifelong dream to create a museum of "homage to our humbliest and often our fanciest of undergarments."
