The current series premiered on April 12, 2004 on Discovery Kids and on TLC on the block Ready Set Learn. It debuted on PBS Kids on April 12, 2004. It was produced by WGBH, and 9 Story Entertainment. The series ran on April 12, 2004 through September 14, 2010 with 55 episodes. On October 10, 2010, the series was removed on the Discovery Kids lineup due from the new channel The Hub Network. It now airs nationally in the United States on public television, distributed by American Public Television. Peep and the Big Wide World is currently sponsored by the National Science Foundation in conjunction with WGBH-FM as part of an educational and outreach program.
