On 27 June 2013 she became the first person of Asian descent to assume the role of Leader of the Government in the Senate.Wong was educated at Scotch College and the University of Adelaide where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws Prior to entering Federal parliament, Wong worked as a lawyer and political advisor.. }
