With the 21 January 2007 Serbian parliamentary election, he was elected as a deputy of the Democratic Party of Serbia jn Vojislav Koštunica's coalition of the Democratic Party of Serbia and New Serbia. His mandate was affirmed on 14 February 2007.On 10 May 2007 he was elected President of the Board for Education. Zoran Šami has published 12 textbooks and numerous scientific and expert studies.. }
