Founded in Israel in 2002, all members went for advanced studies at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis.They perform mostly music of Renaissance and Baroque. A focus of the singers are works by Salamone Rossi, who composed in Mantua both Italian madrigals and music on Hebrew text intended for the synagogue, such as Hashirim asher li'Shlomo (The Songs of Solomon, 1623). The ensemble recorded the music, the first published music in polyphony on Hebrew texts. They appear in a documentary on the life of the composer, Hebreo: The Search for Salomone Rossi, filmed in Mantua in 2012. A review of The Jerusalem Post noted their exceptionally pure intonation and clear pronunciation, adding: "articulation was well-shaped and the accentuations were placed pointedly, though subtly. Thoroughly professional as the quintet's performance was, humor was also an essential part of its professionalism in pieces that required it".In 2011 the singers won the competition of The National Centre for Early Music (NCEM). The competition concert of music by Rossi was broadcast by the BBC. Countertenors Doron Schleifer and David Feldman, tenors Dino Lüthy and Dan Dunkelblum, and bass Elam Rotem recorded madrigals by Cipriano de Rore, Claudio Monteverdi and Carlo Gesualdo in the church on St. Pantaleon, Solothurn, in January 2013 as part of a project Wege zum Barock Tradition und Avantgarde um 1600 of the Festtage Alte Musik Basel. The ensemble performed the music by Rossi in 2013 on festivals such as the Stockholm Early Music Festival and the Rheingau Musik Festival. They sang at the Romanesque Basilika of Mittelheim, Rheingau, as part of the Rheingaureise mit Andreas Scholl (Tour across Rheingau).. }
