The effective date for the announcement was 22 September 2011 with all aircraft operations being expected to cease at Selaparang Airport on 30 September 2011 at 10:00 hrs. Operations did subsequently cease at Selaparang on the prescribed date at 18:00 hrs. The last person to legally depart by aircraft from Selaparang Airport was Jack Forrest, an Australian Pilot currently studying in Lombok.. }
