From Lahore, Shujauddin made his first-class for Punjab "A" during the 1956–57 season of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, which also included Punjab and Punjab "B" teams. A competent right-handed middle-order batsman and occasional bowler of left-arm orthodox spin, he played two matches in that season's competition, and three further matches during the following season. Shujauddin's only first-class half-century was an innings of 63 runs against Quetta in October 1957, while his best bowling figures were 3/13, taken in the previous match against Bahawalpur. The 1957–58 season was his last for any Punjab teams. However, during the 1976–77 season of the Patron's Trophy, Shujauddin appeared in a single match for the Water and Power Development Authority, scoring 17 runs for the match and failing to take a wicket. With the match beginning on 1 February 1977, this entailed a gap of 19 years, three months, and seven days between his final two matches at first-class level.. }
