After a pair of blowout victories over both Howard and the Marion Military Institute, Alabama defeated Sewanee 40–0 in what was the most anticipated game of the season at Rickwood Field.After the Sewanee win, Alabama traveled to Nashville where they lost their only game of the season against Vanderbilt 16–12.
