It was a two-storey building and it was connected to Auberge d'Angleterre through the back part of the building. It housed the langue of Allemagne until the building of a new Auberge d'Allemagne in Valletta in 1575. After that it was used as a private house. The Auberge was heavily damaged during World War II but the inner rooms survived. Between 1961 and 1963 the site was rebuilt and the rooms which survived destruction in the war were integrated into the new buildings.These few remains are still of historical significance to this day as they are the only remains of the German langue in Malta since the Valletta Auberge had been demolished in 1839.
