It housed the langue of Allemagne until the French occupation of Malta in 1798. It was demolished in 1839 to make way for St Paul's Pro-Cathedral. As all other demolished Auberges were pulled down due to extensive damage caused by bombing in the Second World War, this was the only intentionally demolished Auberge in Malta.. }
