Matches in DBpedia 2014 for { ?s ?p The Auberge d'Auvergne (Maltese: Berġa ta' Alvernja) was one of the eight auberges built in Valletta, Malta, for the langues of the knights of the Order of Saint John. It housed the langue of Auvergne until the French occupation of Malta in 1798. Auberge d'Auvergne was located in Great Siege Square in Strada San Giorgio, which is now known as Republic Street. The Auberge had a square plan with a central courtyard. This was surrounded by arches on two sides. The Auberge was enlarged and renovated in 1783. The Auberge closed in 1798 following the Order's capitulation to the French Republic. In 1825 the Auberge was used as the Tribunale di Pirateria as well as the Corte di Fallimento. In 1840, Governor Henry Bouverie moved the Civil Courts to this building.Auberge d'Auvergne was hit by a German parachute mine on 29 May 1941 and it was completely destroyed. The ruins were cleared after the war and a new neo-classical design Court of Justice building was erected in its place in the late 1960s. This building was inaugurated on 9 January 1971 by Prime Minister George Borg Olivier, Governor-General Maurice Henry Dorman, Bishop Mikiel Gonzi along with other Judges, Magistrates, Ministers and other guests.. }
