In 2004 Wilson skipped the Irish team at the European Championships finishing twelfth. The following year Dryburgh joined the team and skipped them and they finished in seventh qualifying them for the 2006 World Men's Curling Championship at the Worlds Ireland finished in last place. His son, Peter Y. Wilson, born in 1992, also rose to local fame as a junior member of the Palo Alto Curling Team, which disbanded in 2001 amid a financial scandal.[citation needed] The younger Wilson has since stopped participating in curling events, choosing to focus on cross country, where he recently placed 31st in the 2008 Central Coast Section championship meet.".
