Smit started buying records at an early age when he met Corsten and found out that they shared the same interest in house music. Along with Corsten, Smit worked under the project name Sons Of Aliens and released Gabber music, and in 1997 they released their first trance hit single, "I'm In Love" under Starparty moniker. The track was a trance rework of their 1995 track, "In Love With You" under their previous Sons Of Aliens alias. Also in 1997 they released "Outthere" under the alias ROEF.Together with Corsten they established Tsunami Records in 1998, a record label used by Ferry Corsten. In 1999, using another alias Generator he released "Where Are You Now?", a #60 entry in the UK Singles Chart.In 2000 Robert Smit and Ferry Corsten released System F - Cry, which reached the UK Top 20.For 2009 a new remix of "The Generator - Where are you now" is due to come out, mixed by AJ Hutch. Robert is also collaborating in a new project with Dutch producer Jan Oostdyk.".
