He was a Justice of the Supreme Court of the State of New York from 1995 to 2000.Daniels is a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. Daniels was nominated by President Bill Clinton on August 5, 1999, to a seat vacated by Robert P. Patterson, Jr.. He was confirmed by the United States Senate on February 24, 2000, and received his commission on March 9, 2000.. }
