He completed a BA (Hons) at the University of Westminster in 2007 specialising in Commercial Music, whilst setting up his own record label DRKL rec. which will release the forthcoming tracks on "The future Sound of Sicily", a production made with the jaw harp, an old musical instrument traditionally used in folkloric Sicilian music. The jaw harp or marranzano here is used as a sort of pure analog synth emulation, which explain the name "The Future Sound of Sicily". During 2007, he has been also working for Dented Records (Foreign Beggars). Gigi is also producing music for media and short movies.In 2010 Gigi moved to Barcelona developing with local artist the Common People bcn community, at the same time started its own shoes brand called OG shoes made in his hometown Catania, handmade fashionable shoes.Today the shoes are taking his own name as brand.. }
