Subsequently, Mobley served in Georgia's Executive Department from 1934 to 1937; as an Assistant Attorney General of Georgia from 1941 to 1943; as a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy from 1943 to 1946; and as a Justice on the Supreme Court of Georgia from 1954 to 1974, including a term as Chief Justice from 1972 to 1974.
