Parmley also co-authored with Glantz the article in the Journal of the American Medical Association, "Even a Little Second-hand Smoke is dangerous".Parmley became a member of the LDS Church's Second Quorum of the Seventy in April 2003. Prior to his call as a general authority, Parmley served in several positions in the church, including as an area seventy, a bishop, and a stake president.Parmley is married to Shanna Lee Nielsen and they are the parents of four children.As a general authority, Parmley served in the presidency of the Africa Southeast Area of the church.. }
