- Ch'iyar_Juqhu_River abstract "The Ch'iyar Juqhu River (Aymara ch'iyara black, juqhu muddy place, "black muddy river", hispanicized spellings Chiar Jokho, Chiar Joko) is a Bolivian river situated east of Lake Titicaca in the La Paz Department. It originates in the Cordillera Real near the peaks of the 6,127 m high Ch'iyar Juqhu which is probably named after the Ch'iyar Juqhu River or the region around it and the 5,871 m high Qalsata flowing down towards the Altiplano. At first the river flows in a south western direction. Near the village Qurpa Putu (Corpa Puto) in the Achacachi Municipality it turns to the north west unifying with more rivers to end in Lake Titicaca.".
