Matches in Harvard for { ?s ?p The Staniford Street Dispensary was established about 1866 in a house in the West End of Boston, once having been the residence of George Cheyne Shattuck (1783-1854) and situated near the office of his son George Cheyne Shattuck (1813-1893). Throughout its existence it remained the property of the Shattuck family. Clinical courses were offered at the dispensary for graduates of the Harvard Medical School from the 1860's until 1897; various doctors were involved, including George C. Shattuck Jr., James R. Chadwick, Charles P. Putnam, John W. Farlow, Edward Wigglesworth, George Haven, Edward Reynolds, George Craigin, and Eugene M. Holden. The dispensary offered services in diseases of women and children and operated on a charitable basis. It was associated with the summer school of Harvard Medical School (1880-1884) and with the Boston Polyclinic (1885-1897) and was disbanded in 1897 with the resignation of Dr. Holden.. }
