Serbia entered the First Balkan war with 15 pieces (6 batteries), since one gun was destroyed during the exercises before the war. It was used in the First and Second Balkan wars and in the first phase of the First world war ( 1914-1915 ). Most of the surviving pieces were abandoned and destroyed before the Serbian retreat to Albania.Bulgaria also ordered this type in 1897, and received 24 pieces and used them in the Balkan and First World War.
