In the fall of 2009, he started studying piano with Marjes Benoist. In September 2012, he enrolled in the young talent programme of the Conservatory of Amsterdam, where he continues to study piano with Benoist. He won the first price of the International Piano Competition of Lagny-sur-Marne in February 2014. He also won the first price of the Koninklijk Concertgebouw Competition in June 2013.Aidan Mikdad plays works of the Romantic repertoire, in particular Frédéric Chopin and Franz Liszt. His repertoire also includes works of Johann Sebastian Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven, Claude Debussy, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Franz Schubert and Igor Stravinsky.At the invitation of the Concertgebouw, he played in both the Main Hall (Grote Zaal) and the Recital Hall (Kleine Zaal) in the fall of 2013. In January 2014, he performed a piano transcription of Liszt's Dante Symphony in the Amsterdam Stadsschouwburg in honour of Dan Brown during his visit to the Netherlands.. }
