On 1 June 2009 the flight was being operated by an Airbus A330 and, just after 02:10 UTC, the aircraft crashed into the Atlantic Ocean. The accident is the deadliest in the history of Air France. It was also the Airbus A330's second and deadliest fatal accident, and its first in commercial passenger service.. }
