It is the second digital subchannel of CBS affiliate WEVV-TV, owned by Communications Corporation of America. Over-the-air, the station broadcasts a standard definition digital signal on UHF channel 45.2 (or virtual channel 44.2 via PSIP) from a transmitter located in Henderson, Kentucky. The station also operates W47EE-D, a low-power digital translator licensed to Evansville, that relays WEVV-DT2's programming in high definition. The subchannel can also be seen on Insight channel 119, WOW! channel 3 and digital channel 103, Mediacom channel 7 and Dish Network channel 45, ad in high definition on Insight digital channel 915 and WOW! digital channel 803. It is the largest subchannel-only Fox affiliate.On April 24, 2013, ComCorp announced the sale of its entire group to the Nexstar Broadcasting Group, the owner of WEHT. WEVV will be sold to a female-controlled company called Rocky Creek Communications. Nexstar will continue to operate the station under a shared service agreement, with sister stations WEHT and WTVW. In an ironic twist, the ComCorp–Nexstar deal will mark the second time in Indiana broadcasting history that Nexstar has regained control of a Fox affiliation (after Fort Wayne, where Nexstar's WFFT-TV rejoined the network after 18 months as an independent).
