Considered one of the nation’s leading children’s choirs, LACC has appeared in more than 300 performances with such renowned organizations as the Los Angeles Opera,Los Angeles Philharmonic, Los Angeles Master Chorale, Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, and many others.Since its founding in 1986, LACC has educated more than 1,200 young singers and currently includes 270 choristers in six ensembles (Youg Men's Ensemble, Chamber Singers, Concert Choir, Intermediate Choir, Apprentice Choir and Preparatory Choir) and one class, First Experiences in Music. Choristers come from more than 60 communities across the greater Los Angeles area to rehearse once or twice weekly, take weekly musicianship classes and perform with the Chorus. Repertoire, selected to fit each choir’s skill level, covers a wide spectrum including established classical works, art songs, American jazz pieces and spirituals, and arrangements of folk songs from around the world.".
